Over 200 game play changes make this game, a more authentic feel. The new real-time physics engine is the biggest change. It makes every match more realistic and unpredictable. It replaces the old animation system. The unpredictability of real games is more realized in its virtual version. The new faceoff system further enhances realism that makes this version a greater delight to play. The first appearance of the Canadian Hockey League in this series adds more depth and diversity. Adding this most prestigious grouping of junior hockey is a coup for EA Sports. The members are the Western Hockey, the Ontario Hockey and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey leagues. The number of playable teams rises by 60 with this new addition. Players will now play for the Memorial Cup they compete for.
